Bubble London 31 January - 01 February 2010

Bazaar D' Etoiles
Nelly Stella
Little Duckling
Aravore Babies

Held at the Business Design center in Islington, a five minute walk from the Junior offices, we headed to see what’s new and exciting for Autumn/Winter 2010/11.

New brands included Nelly Stella from Taiwan who gave visitors a contemporary edge on chi chi childrenswear, satin tunic dresses covered in oversized bows and ruffles, cardigans decorated in abstract frills. Bazaar D' Etoiles from France showed a sophisticated luxury collection of dark dresses with lantern shaped sleeves, slightly Queen Victoria in mourning, plus novel cow-hide mini skirts and beautiful knitted cardigans and granddad shirts for boys.

From the established UK brands, Aravore Babies stood-out, continuing their venture into fashion-forward looks, presenting beautiful Peter Pan collared pleated blouses in stone greys’ and pretty floral printed tea dresses. No Added Sugar boasting one of the biggest stands at the fair, displayed a range of dress coats that were tailored to exception and Hucklebones continued their take on sixties couture think Balenciaga and Chloe.

The winner of the stand-out competition was Little Duckling, showcasing a collection that mixed fashion forward looks with casuals for everyday. Our favorite being the puffed sleeve dresses, with hearts and the pleated burnt orange dress with petal collar.
